Day 01: Arrive Cochin By International Flight

Arrival
at Cochin, meet and assist at the airport. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 02 : Cochin
Morning tour of the opulent Mattancherry Palace, a gift from the Portuguese
to the Raja of Cochin. The place has a collection of remarkable 16th century
murals painted on wooden walls. In the old Jewish quarter we visit the
ancient Synagogue. Later the warehouse and shops provide us with some of the
best shopping in India. We conclude our visit with the Church of St. Francis
and the tomb of Vasco Da Gama. Later enjoy the Kathkali Dance. Overnight
stay at the hotel.
Day 03 : Cochin - Munnar
After breakfast, drive to Munnar, 125 kms and 03 hrs drive. Upon arrival
transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day free largely blanketed by tea
plantations. This Little Hill Resort offers breath-taking scenery. situated
at an altitude of 1525 meters, This town has a local bracing climate. The
atmosphere is fragrant with extensive tea and cardamom plantations. There
are enchanting high ranges, lakes and streams and lovely views of low flying
clouds and mist filled valleys.
Day 04 : Munnar - Periyar
Morning visit mattupetty Dam, Eravikulam National Park, Tea Plantations
etc. Afternoon, drive to Periyar, 100 kms and 03 hrs drive. Upon arrival,
check-in at the hotel. Periyar, spread over an area of 777 sq km, this
sanctuary has about 35 tigers and leopards. However, sighting a tiger in
periyar is a fortune for one out of thousand. The Park encompasses a 26 sq
km artificial lake and is the home of sambars, wild boars, elephants and
antelopes which can be occasionally seen on the banks of the river during a
boat cruise. periyar, otherwise, blessed by nature has enormous tea, coffee,
pepper and cardamom plantations and is lush green. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 05 : Periyar

After
breakfast, enjoy morning and evening game viewing in the wildlife sanctuary
of Periyar where elephant, sambar, bison and spotted deer may be seen during
our lake cruise. Thekkady is renowned for its spices, and the aroma of
cinnamon, nutmeg, pepper and a multitude of other spices scent the air as we
explore a spice garden. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 06 : Periyar - Kumarakom
Morning drive to Kumarakom (130 kms / 4 hrs). Afternoon visit Kumarakom
Bird Sanctuary. This Bird Santuary on the southern bank of the Kavanar
River, is a small bird sanctuary where numerous species of birds, including
darters, bitterns, brahminy kites, marsh harries, teals and several
varieties of herons roost. Overnight in hotel.
Day 07 : Houseboat
Morning board houseboat from Kumarakom Jetty and sail towards Alleppey.
Cruise along the backwaters by day and dock at a picturesque location by
night. This is undoubtedly one of the most relaxing experiences to watch
Kerala life at work as you watch the world go by. All meals will be provided
on board. Overnight on board.
Day 08 : Alleppey - Varkala
After breakfast, disembark at 09:30 hrs and drive to Varkala, 55 kms and 01
hrs drive. Overnight at a beach resort.
Day 09 & 10 : Varkala
Full day is free for leisure on the beach. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 11 : Varkala - Trivandrum - Out
Transfer to the airport for flight to onward destination.
